A review of Intercontinental le moana bora bora
Luxury on The Water at Le Moana
Sitting on clear turquoise waters, InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora is a beautifully decorated Polynesian luxury hotel that is perfect for an unforgettable family travel adventure. The views are absolutely stunning, the ambiance inviting and unforgettable, and the food delicious in every sense of the word. We were completely blown away by everything this property had to offer as it was truly a once in a lifetime stay. Allow us to explain.
Where is InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora Located?
Known as the Pearl of the Pacific, Bora Bora’s InterContinental Le Moana is located on the southernmost part of Bora Bora on one of the most picturesque beaches in the world. Matira Beach is famous amongst travelers who venture to the South Pacific as it’s the largest public access beach on the island. And it is absolutely stunning. The water is generally pretty shallow on Matira Beach as the lagoon extends far out beyond the sand, making this pristine location ideal for snorkeling, paddle boarding, and enjoying the aquatic life that passes by. Check out a map of the hotel below.
The Room
During our time at InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora, we were fortunate enough to stay at one of the property’s Beach Bungalows right on the water’s edge. Set amongst the booming shoreline under the shade of coconut palms, IC Le Moana offers its guests 12 total beach bungalows with a lagoon view in addition to several other overwater bungalows on the property premise. Ideal for those who don’t want to stray too far from the ocean when they head back to their room for the night, IC Le Moana’s beach bungalow’s have roughly 36 sq. meters of space opening onto picturesque beachfront access. There’s a king-sized bed, a sofa bed, a spacious bathroom, and a private terrace with two beach chairs to enjoy the rolling surf.
Amenities
In terms of amenities, InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora has several exciting free resort activities that were perfect for our family. The property offers free kayaks, snorkels, fins, and more for guests and other indoor activities like ping pong, billiards, and a Wii console.
There are also several cultural demonstrations including an introduction to Va’a that’s great for allowing children to learn about Polynesian traditions, and other paid activities like swimming with sharks and rays.
Dining Options
Okay, so when we stayed at InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora we switched between eating at Noa Noa Restaurant and ordering room service every single day. Noa Noa was the perfect spot for taking the kids and having a delicious meal to go along with it. There was even an eventful dance show for the kids to watch one of the nights we ate here. Incredible.
As far as room service is concerned, IC Le Moana Bora Bora has just about everything a family could want. Cheeseburgers, pizza, local fish, beer, wine, you name it. Ordering room service was super convenient for lunch especially when the kids were taking their naps. Casey and I were able to sit outside on the patio and relax, and the meals came with more than enough food for four.
Overall Experience
Overall, InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora was such an incredible hotel for our family to stay at during our travel adventure to the South Pacific. The location made it perfect for exploring the rest of the island and hanging out on Matira Beach, the room was spacious and had a view of the ocean. The kids had more than enough activities to participate in to keep them occupied, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding.
It’s certainly hard to go wrong with choosing InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora for your family travel trip to paradise. See you out there!
